- First coffee roaster in Canada to import and sell solar dried
coffee from the Costa Rican co-op Montes De Oro.
- Instituted a re-useable container program for local customers.
- Magnetic labels used to identify our coffee varieties with
re-usable container program.
- Invoices, etc printed using recycled fibre paper.
- Purchased two used Volkswagen Golf TDi’s for primary
business vehicles due to fuel efficiency (uses approx. 50% less
fuel than a similarly sized gasoline engine)
- Bio-Diesel used in the VW Golf TDi’s.
- All production lighting converted from 200 watt bulbs to 42
watt fluorescent, energy efficient light bulbs.
- Production facility heated using radiant floor technology.
